Twice I`ve had one now. (New to game) yet they just stand there. I was expecting them to kill armies in one turn. They didn`t have any new options (where fortify, road etc are) so what do I do with them?

Take them to a city and you can either build an army or hurry whatever is being built there [Ctrl-H] - particularly useful for rush-building wonders.

To load units into the army, put them in the same square and hit the [L] key.

You can only build an army if you have 4 cities or more.

RTFM?

As to the thread topic:

*cough*piratedciv3copykillhim *cough*[

Well gentlemen, for your information it isn`t a pirated copy, but it isn`t mine. Got it off the brother who has had it since it came out.

Thanks to those who gave a civilised answer.

Don't know about RTFM, why not read the civilopedia as well...useful if you can't find the manual sometimes. I use it rather than moving from my chair:)

...If the game is still your brother's it is not technically yours and you do not have a legal copy:lol:

I'll take your word for it.

Meanwhile, when the leader is active and in a city, there will be buttons at the bottom of the screen with any commands available. Once you make him an army, then when military units are active, you can add them to the army the same way.

Look for the active command buttons at the bottom of the screen.
