Is there a way to completely disable the global warming in Civ4? I didn't see any option to switch it off ingame and it's really beginning to annoy me. That includes global warming as a result of building factories and other city improvements, and also global warming as a result of playing the same save game for too long. Any help would be greatly apprechiated. :)

I'd like to do the opposite, increase the global warming rate. Ruin the planet I say!

in globaldefines.xml look for

<DefineName>GLOBAL_WARMING_PROB</DefineName>
<iDefineIntVal>10</iDefineIntVal>

Set this up to 0, or 100 or whatever you want it to be. I think this value controls the global warming caused by nukes...... so it may get rid of it all, but its a start.

Similarly, once Global Warming begins is there a way to turn it back off? I've had it start a few times, but not for nuclear attacks, and despite clean ups it seemed to progress. Since it's not happened frequently I've not had the chance to detect a trend. Is it just a matter of time?
