Glossary for newcomers ?

Hello everyone,

Do you have anywhere on this forum some kind of glossary that explain all the abbreviations and acronyms you guys usually use ?

If not, could we create one ?

I'm quite new to CIV4 and I'm sometimes having a hard time to understand all the strats/tips you guys are talking about : it's full of SE, HR, BFC, GL, CFC, HOF, BW, WW and a whole lot more that can make any newcomer very confused.

Welcome to the forums, Masklinn. There is a list of acronym explanations here, and, if there are any that aren't listed on that page, you can feel free to ask them in this thread.

I feel your pain. I've been reading people's posts for a while now, and it's hard to remember all the acronyms and abbreviations. If people would just spell things out; I think the abbreviations on this forum can be ridiculous.

Here are a few I know:
CE: cottage economy
SE: specialist economy
BFC: big fat cross
COL: code of laws
GL: Great Library? or Great Lighthouse?
NE: National Epic
HE: Heroic Epic
NP: National Park
