Wilhelm von Prussen was indeed pleased by the progress his "corporation" had made in Bonn. They had gotten their name out as the premier arms dealers in Germany, and had an army of hired gunmen to prove it. von Prussen had always been military-minded; from his childhood in Cold War Berlin where he had grown up in the shadow of Checkpoint Charlie, to his 4-year stint in the West German Bundeswehr. It was not until he had left the army that he realize the kind of money that could be made in the private sector by a man with his weapons skills and the friendships he had made in the military. And so here he sat, the pre-eminent gundealer in the Fatherland. But even so, he was not a violent man by nature. He understood better than most in his position that large-scale conflict only got in the way of his primary goal: making money. And so he would ensure that large-scale conflict never broke out. "Otto! Get me the head of Wierny on the phone! We have business to discuss."
To Wierny:
From the German Economic Empire:
My friend, Europe is a large place. There is plenty of room on this vast continent for both of us. Therefore, I propose a division of influence to ensure that we never get into a conflict over who may control what cities. I suggest to you that we be allowed total control of the markets west of the German-Polish border, and you all markets east. Realistically speaking, that would grant me all of Germany, Austria, and the Czech Republic, while you would get all of Poland, Hungary, Ukraine, and Belarus. Certainly this is a fair deal which will prevent unnecessary bloodshed, no?
