To be honest I was expecting you a bit earlier, my prophecy of having no Iron having come true not sure that would have saved me though.

This was my reaction when I saw the Longswords in your territory wasn't much I could do by that point. I need to get more PvP practice. And going for a Wonder was probably a big mistake, still it has been a good learning experience

I only went for Animal Husbandry when I found I didn't have Iron, as you guessed I was expecting a Legion rush probably backed by at least 1 Ballista and archers.

My research choices were ...not the best. I am doing some trials on Prince with Rome to re-create your strategy now. Obviously different map etc.

A general tip is to get the national collage ASAP. Either before building a second city or (as I often do) buy a library in your second city. Also, buy G&K. You might as well get used to that as soon as possible. There are a lot of differences.

GMR sent me the save I sent to you ...I think says the Master blasters turn ...or do you want to swap places

I tried deleting the file and re-downloading and got the same going to try revert turn see if that helps

On the GMR site it said it was my turn but the client said it was yours so I did it manually on the site. Hope it turns out all right

Sometimes the GMR client doesn't upload the save after I end my turn

General Lord Nelson is doing the best he can killing one of your Longswordsmen.
Kyoto now resembles a clown car with units popping out each turn. Sadly we see more Roman soldiers on the way to the city ...we are doomed BANZAI!!!

In Gods & Kings I would have needed siege units as well. City taking is harder there and siege units are crucial. They are weaker against units but stronger against cities, as they should be.

Then again, in G&K, seige units don't require iron!
