Wow.. I was looking at the statistics and it has some 42,000+ downloads o.o!! That's more then the CIV4 Warlords Patch! :p I must say its the best thing since, I dunno water? Since I can't really live without it:crazyeye:

I don't think we can say this enough, but oh well. Good Job FFH Team! You guys are freaking amazing! <3 :goodjob: And a <3 to all those who help with suggestions and mods.:D Now, to go play FFH through the rest of the night, while constantly promising myself I'll go to sleep in the next 10 minutes.:crazyeye: I'm sure I'm not the only one who does this:mischief: :p

You can never praise FfH good enough.
Anyway I upgraded my RAM from 512 to 1024 MB but main reason was-that I can run Large maps in FfH in decent speed :) Running Oblivion and such games faster came second.

Hmm.. I wish I could get bigger maps then just huge, Doesn't really seem like enough room since they don't space the landmass well. :( I think every civ should at least be able to make 6-7 cities without fighting for area :crazyeye:

Y'know, I just wanted to say:
I love you story writers! You guys don't get appreciated enough tho ;)
I love the story's in FfH. I can just sit back behind my monitor and read for a good hour, and there are so many story's to keep me busy, ranging from silly QES style (Chaos Marauder) to awesome leader story's such as Charadon. It really gives depth to the game imo, and makes me have an urge to create story's such as Nikis-Knight did with a Kutiotate game. I'm just wondering; who did the better part of the story's? As you've noticed I know QES did some, but what about the others?

Edit: Hm, just reda Einion's story in the wiki, and I noticed that the Wiki story is quite different to the in game one. Have there been story's that were scrapped completely from both game and wiki? If so I'd suggest a reading page in the civ4FfHwiki where all those scrapped story's are.

Edit2: Nvm my stupidity. I confused Einion with Corlindale. Both grey old men, hard to tell the difference.

Have you tried editing the CIV4WorldInfo.xml? I think it might be possible to create bigger worlds by editing <iGridWidth>32</iGridWidth> and <iGridHeight>20</iGridHeight> to bigger values. I intent to but have yet to try it.

i can't remember the last time I played vanilla Civ, or even civ with the "realistic" mods... the only "civ" I play now is FfH :p too bad xfire counts hours for Civ4, not for FfH

I played Vanilla Civ one time again about a week ago.. how painstakingly dull ö
I got bored of Vanilla Civ quite fast in the beginning, and then I started looking for Mods. Et voila; ffh! I really gotta commend you guys.. usually a game interests me for about 2 weeks or so. FfH has had me going for months.

Have you tried a huge Highlands or Plains map?

Can't say I have yet Wig >< I like deserts and tundra in my maps though. =P

Hmmm.. I need to try the fantasy one, but I usually like to do custom continents. Seems to give people good amount of land space while still needing to compete later game

Corlindale, Nikis-Knight, Wilboman and I wrote most of the material. There are occasional community member adds, one of my favorite community writers is Xuenay and he has written some really cool stuff.

The most amazing part from this is that all the stories form such a nice cohesive whole. I actually always knew the civilizations and leaders I wanted to use, even in the early versions of FfH1 where you could be attacked by American berserkers and fireball Ghandi's cities. But I didn't think that civ/leader flavor was that important (I was more concerned with building the upgrade system and base design).

I was amazed at how much difference it made the first time I played with the actual FfH leaders and Civs. Even without a single functional change going through the process of seeing these various leaders on the otherside of the board made a huge difference.

Then you have people like Nikis-Knight who have detailed out sections of FfH lore far beyond anything I had. The Bannor escaping from hell was just a legend in the D&D campaign. A part of their culture and history but I never really thought much beyond the basic outlines of the story. Nikis-Knight fleshed the whole thing out, detailed the characters and now there is a whole new level to the story that is so much better than anything I ever had.
