God of the Sea 1.0.2.21

I've discovered that after the new 'fix' that fishing boats don't get the production bonus from the God of the Sea pantheon. Anyone have a simple fix? This is just about my favorite pantheon, that extra production from a fishing boat is incredibly helpful early in the game.

I'm playing Theodora and I'm wondering if having two Pantheon bonuses might be a problem.

Varna doesn't have the Pantheon bonuses (yet). If it did, you'd see a "lightning bolt" in the display above the city. You must have founded Varna after you founded your religion. Cities built before a religion is founded automatically get the Pantheon beliefs, but not cities built after. When your religion spreads to Varna, then you'll get the extra production from the fishing boats.

Thank you, I'd sort of forgotten about that aspect of it. God of the Sea was part of the religion choice, not the beginning pantheon choice.

Not really. Yes, Byzantium can pick a bonus belief, which can be a pantheon, founder, follower or enhancer belief, but it still retains its "character". That is, a pantheon belief selected as a bonus belief is still a pantheon belief that behaves like a follower belief when incorporated into the Byzantine religion -- a belief that is available to any city that has that religion, not just a city owned by the founder of the religion.

So you feel, if Theodora chooses a pantheon belief as her ua additional belief, that bonus should instantly be attributed cities with "pantheon status" religion? I.E. "Not", or rather "before", when said religion spreads to the city?

I really don't know. I've never chosen a pantheon belief as my bonus.

I suppose when I said "founder" I should have said "when religion is founded". Really it becomes a "follower" belief.
