Gods & Kings - HOF Support

Duel Dom,ination Games... That is what HOF has become. Not that I have not submited and :trophy2nd: a medal for that, but even if TractorBoy/ColinTH tries to kill the entire HOF staff, a modifier by map size should be implemented

Thanks for those kind words.

1 - I only object to changes being made to an established and long running set of scoring rules.
2 - I have never knowingly voiced any objections to the new G&K scoring format because 'G&K' was never mentioned in opening posts of threads that I got involved in.
3 - Your opinion about the G&K seems to echo those of many others, I do hope the HOF Staff listen to you all and implement the suggested changes sooner rather than later.

Good gaming.

When you mouseover the symbol of the civ you were playing in a HoF entry it shows "Leader (Civ)" for G&K civs but "Civ (Leader)" for Vanilla civs:

HA! Good catch. There is a Civ and a Leader discription. I must have just pasted the same into both. I will fix it in a bit.

Edit: Well, it wasn't what I thought it was. I just flat out did backwards. :( It is fixed now.

It also says "Wu Zetain" instead of "Wu Zetian" ;)
(in the dropdown menus)

edit) On the Crash Exception Policy page it says "A short decription of the circumstances of the crash." instead of description.

Some weirdness going on with the table viewer...

This link shows a game from Bram and one from titantoma for these settings accepted and published by Jan 05 (&pubID=45):
http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ5/tab...ed=1&showall=on&maptype=4&leader=12&submit=Go

I now changed the url to "&pubID=46" for my bookmarks so that it will show me the newest entries after the next hof update:
http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ5/tab...ed=1&showall=on&maptype=4&leader=12&submit=Go

As you can see now it suddenly shows a 3rd game (from xger) which was accepted on January 5th, which means it actually should be shown with the first link already (as the second is not even accessable normally).

I'm guessing that "Accepted" means you can do what you did here to see it. The game in question of mine was sumbitted on the 5th - but after the update was published, so it is due to be "Published" on todays (or the next) update.

EDIT: After a little further investigation, this appears to be the case. So you can see if others have submitted, and it definitely only includes those that are "Accepted". Interesting random tidbit: making that change sets the Publish date in the drop down to the first one (9/21/10)

Ah okay, that makes sense.

Another issue though:
When viewing a specific submission, the icon for the own civ is shown even when playing a g&k civ (meaning they are all there/implemented), while the icons for the opponents will only be shown for non g&k civs.
Example: http://hof.civfanatics.net/civ5/game_info.php?entryID=3891 (You can see in the General Log on Turn 0 that there are 5 G&K civs in that game on top of India and Arabia).

You aren't supposed to be able to get a result when do that. So don't do that and especially don't that and critic the results that are not published. :mischief:

I wish there was an emoticon for a cat running out of a bag...

When looking at the VVV individual components, would it be possible to have one more table, showing 'your progress'?

Primarily for the league of nations & map quest. Your own data won't appear on LoN until you're already at 32/34, I assume. By the time I'm at 20/34, looking through my submissions to work out what's missing will become a pain. At least if I don't make a list here and cross off the maps/leaders as I use them.

I eventually used excel to do just that.
