Is there a patch I might be missing? Its at 1.27

Also i know I need the conquest pack, but I'm a poor man and my wife hates it when I spend money on video games. Know where I can get a cheap and /or used one? I don't do illegal download so don't even suggest it.

I'm guessing you meant 'I don't' as opposed to 'I do'...

You could try ebay. Or amazon, they have used copies there, usually. I've gotten quite a few books that way. Just keep your eyes open, I'm sure you'll find a cheap copy. It might also go down in price after Civ 3: Complete comes out.
