Founders Edition settings issue observation

Probably been discussed in various other threads but I wanted to make a quick post here about it for people joining the next few days:

1) The founders pack skins are on by default. I suggest starting games with them all unchecked. They should have been off by default. My Tecumseh game was marred by a culturally inappropriate founders edition Civ 7 palace

I imagine many people will unfortunately play the game with the palace not changing based on civ choices, which is a shame.

2) Selecting and unselecting these during a game does nothing. You unfortunately have to check/uncheck and reload a save game.

I think that's totally ok behavior:
1. Rebuilding game graphics on the fly is a very difficult task
2. Situations where it may be needed - once for some players, zero for most players

In the list of priorities it should be down below everything else.

Oh, I didn’t mean it as a mistake of the developers…I just meant it was unfortunate.

Maybe I do hold the devs responsible in that they should notify “requires reload to take effect” or something like that.

In another thread we just had someone asking what those gold civ 7 tiles on the fog of war supposed to represent…they de-select the founders edition stuff, go back in game, doesn’t change anything. Maybe they think that wasn’t it and re selects them.

So this thread was for those people
