To Spain, African Federation, Communist Empire of Russia and People's Republic of India
From the United Islamic States

I urge you all to consider a 50 mile DMZ on both sides of our mutual borders to ensure that peace is kept between our nations. Futhermore I ask you all to allow any Muslims residing in your territory to emigrate if they wish to, to our territory. Under no circumstances shall we accept opperssion of the Muslim peoples of the world. These DMZ will also be offered with a 5 year renewable NAP, which of course we already have with the Spainish.

From AF
To UIA
We would like to see the results of the Elections before signing any treaty, we would not like to have a large, unguarded territory to border a nation that might end up in anarchy due to its first election ever.

To AF
From UIS

We are not the UIA, that is just our army, and futhermore we will not end up in anarchy, I will be posting the major parties of the UIS this turn.

To the World
From the UIS

We along with Spain gaurantee the territorial integrity of Mali and Algeria during their election period and if they choose indepdence welcome them into the UIS if they choose to so join. Of course if they do not we shall continue to garauntee their territorial integrity anyways.

To the UIS
From the Mysterious, Deep, Dark and Dangerous Office of Randomness that Decides Elections around the World upon Request,

Are you going to provide us with a list of parties for this election, or shall we make it up for ourselves? Also, please remember to remind us in your orders, we are very forgetful at times . . .

OOC - err . . . ya . . .

The MDDDORDEWR thanks Colonel Ghadaffi for agreeing to ensure that the process goes smoother, and less deadly . . .

Major Political Partiies within the United Islamic States

The Social-Democratic Party The Social Democrats are campaigning on a solid platform. They preech the UIS should keep a state of armed neutrality in respect of world affairs, they also wish to ensure that the military is kept strong but a purely defensive force as well as allowing for a the rebuilding of infrastructure. They also wish to ensure that social security is big on the agenda of the UIS. Their leader is a man from Jordan, Mohammed Abbas.

Republican Party of the UIS The Republicans are campaigning on yet another solid platform. They stipulate the UIS should also retain a state of armed neutrality, however they put more emphasis on the military force then the Social Democrats. They are not big on welfare prefering to spend money on industry and placing tarriffs on products to ensure that Islamic industries are protected. Their leader is a man from Egypt, Yasser Arafat, who is also strong for the creation of Palestine and entry of it to the UIS at the expense of Israel.

Environmentalist Party of the UIS The Environmentalists are campaigning on a platform that extolls keeping the UIS pure. It eschews industrial might for the benefits of environmentalism. They also preach the benefits of nature. They are big on welfare programs. Their leader is Abdullah Faud of Saudi Arabia

Communist Party of the UIS The Communists stand for closer relations with the Communist Coalition and the implementation of communist policies and the 'nationalisation' by the UIS Congress of important resources such as oil fiields and the Suez Canal. Futhermore they want less private enterprise and a more stringent military ensuring the 'economic and physical security of the UIS', as they put it Their leader is Hamid Karzai from the state of Afghanistan.

Conservative Party of the UIS The Conservative Party stands for the creation of a federtion with coservative Islamic ideals upheld led through democratic process. They wish for a state of armed neutrality and futhermore extol the virtues of industrialisation and self defence. Their leader is Abuddalh Oman a man from the state of Turkey.

The Political Party for the Islamic Movement The Islamic Party as it is otherwise known stands for the implementation of Islamic Law throughout the federation and thus support is low through mre of the less hardliner states. None the less they also call for a strong united front of Islam to ensure the voice of Allah is kept strong. All they pretty much talk about is relgion and military making many people question wether or not this party is going to go anywhere or not. Their leader is the Grand Ayatollah Mohammad Hyssain of Iran.

The Fascist Alliance of Islam This small radical movement preeches strong relations with the African Federation, SEDATO and even a small faction with Spain. Although the victory of the war over Spain is somewhat complete and was handled by the more centrist movements, the Fascists still get some support especially in border regions that have been bombed by the CER. Main reason for this is due to the hatred of the Communists for their loss of support. Many believe their poilicy of hatred for anything non-Islamic and military, military and even more military is not good for the UIS and therefore they are not expected to poll well. However their leader is a man from Iraq, called Saddam Hussein.

So Gaddafi isn't going again?

No Gaddafi feels he has done his part for the good of the UIS, and allows one of these capable gentlemen to steer the United Islamic States in the path of the people that choose.

Yep the UIS is going to be democratic at least ;)
