Statement from the Islamic Foreign Service

The Russian Federation continues to disown its own actions and continues to try and bully other nations and the United Islamic States into a state of acquisence. We remind the world that it was the Russian Federation responsible for the rise of walordism in Afghanistan through funding pro-Russian warlords within the nation and while those warlords kept the nation in a state of near anarchy not a word was said of the importation of opium.

While we do not condone the opuim trade we remind the Russian Federation that this is an internal Afghan matter not a matter of the United Islamic States and in saying this we will continue to back our members in their defensive needs. Having said this if the Russian Federation chooses that it is in its best wishes to invade the United Islamic State of Afghanistan then the United Islamic States will choose that its in our best wishes to defend this Muslim state from coming under the imperialistic ambitions of the Russian state.

We do hope that war will be averted in this case however Russia, not the United Islamic States is completley responsible for the preservation of peace in this matter.

State of the Union Address - 1984​

Citizens of the United Islamic States, it is with great pride and intense pleasure that I present my innagural State of the Union address. In the last year, expecially with the close election results the United Islamic States was bitterly divided in the political sense of the word. We are however resilient and thus we shall push forward from these elections under the chosen government and thus prosper and grow under this administartion. I would like to now outline our policies for the coming year.

I first turn our attention towards the growing problem within Africa. Poverty, desease and militarism are running rampant within this continent. Now why should the United Islamic States care about what happens outside its borders? THAT is what superpowers do, and while it is not offical the UIS definently classes itself as one of these powers. This year however we have donated more money to the North African Fund, the fund that is designed to alleviate the dire poverty in our African members. It is with great pride that I announce that this fund seems to be working, and while we must not neglect to continue this great work, we shall not shrink from our responsiblilites.

Futhermore the apparent famine in Ethiopia, while not getting too much better has not gotten worse, which is a start. Food aid will continue to flow into the nation, as well as projects for irrigation and basic infrastructure to ensure that this problem does not continiually reoccur.

This last year has seen the United Islamic Army and the National Guards in action against a number of dissidents that have long sheltered within our borders and received help from outside. I am pleased to report the complete destruction of the Chrisitan Revolutionary Front in Southern Sudan, and that region's return to security under the rule of the Congress. In fact Southern Sudanese now rid of these rebels are beggining to return to prosperity under the North African fund.

In Afghanistan the Russian insitgated Civil War is over with the 1st United Islamic Army crushing all Warlords who did not comply with the UIS mandate that my predesseor issued calling for them to lay down their ill gotten armaments. The Shah is back in power, while those Warlords who have followed the UIS statements retain a place of some political power representing the new Tribal Council. It is hoped that Afghanistan will soon also have a democratic assembly and mirror a system not unlike the Westminister system that England had before World War Three.

Tensions with Russia have indeed risen, however are warranted, due to continued Russian interference in our internal politics. The Russian Federation and its President must realise that it can no longer dictate to the world its wishes and until it returns to the family of nations, not as an overlord but as an equal we shall continue to shun it. The cutting off of trade with Russia has caused a slight dip in our economy, however Russian farmers are feeling the pinch and the Russian companies investing in the United Islamic States has seen their investments evaporate due to their government's actions.

Futhermore it is with great pride that the Republic of Germany, the United States of Europe and the Republic of Israel have all offered to step in and take the exalted place with the Russian Federation. Trade delgations have been sent to Madrid, Berlin and Tel Aviv in an effort to finalise these promising new relations that we are enjoying with our neighbours.

Russian military buildup along our northern frontier and Russian presence in the crumbling African Federation cannot be discounted, as it is a concerted effort of the Russian government encircle the United Islamic States. Any attempt to annex land by the Russian Federation in Africa will result in the harshest and direst meassures taken, in the defence of the faith of Islam.

Last year we saw His Holiness the Pope travel from the Vatican City to take a tour with the United Islamic States. I had the pleasure of meeting this great man, and although we may disagree of faith, he is indeed a citizen of the world and speaks for peace and harmony. It is without great pride that I am announcing that we are sending an Islamic delegation to the International City of Jereuselum to meet with The Jewish and Chrisitan delegations for talks on continued untiy amongst the three relgions. I feel that where we have found untiy in our faith, we too can find unity with the faiths that name Abraham as a prophet.

Finally I would like to welcome the newest nation to our family, the Saharan Union, made up of the former Spainish colonies of Western Sahara and Morrocco, this Union will better represent its peoples and will result in great prosperity and security for the citizens. We applaud this union and look forward to the results from this new and dynamic African nation and what it can bring and contribute to the United Islamic States

The United Islamic States accuse Russia of interfering with their politics while they themselves attempt to dictate to Russia what Russia can and cannot do in the African Federation. The Russian Federation will disregard the warning by the UIS and will proceed along with the Peace Process in the Northern AF Regions. If the UIS wishes to be an equal they must accept the fact that they cannot use threats of force to dictate to other countries what to do.

The Russian Federation has not sent any men or money to Afghanistan to support anyone. The civil disorder in Afghanistan has been the result of poor management and neglect by the UIS. The Russian Federation is offended by the tactless and base less accusations constantly thrown in our direction.

The Russian request to deal with the Afghani drug trafficing stands. If the UIS wishes to see this request not as a request to deal with a problem, but as an attempt "to dictate their domestic policy," then perhaps Russia needs to dictate the UIS' domestic policy if the UIS itself cannot take action against a series of criminal activities.

Russia re-itirates its objection to the continued accusation from the UIS. Until there is any proof or evidence of any wrongdoing on Russia's part these accusations are false, however in the medieval country of the UIS "innocent before proven guilty" does not apply.

Russia has and will continue to build up a sizable military on its Southern border. The UIS has numerous times threatened war with Russia and it would be unwise for Russia to do otherwise. We re-itirate our commitment to peace and cooperation, but the criminal government of the UIS that has seized Russian assets cannot be trusted to voluntarily obey by international and multilateral treaties, and so it was deemed necessary to have a protection buffer.

The day is heading towards the evening, which will also be humid and will end, most likely, with rain, like all days throughout the last week. Here the rains are strange, they bring absolutley no relief, just wash the roofs and the leafs on the trees.

In evenings like this I often remember a stor, which I encountered on the bank of North Dvina. I crawled into the farthest corner of a long shack, where newly cut wood was stored, and through the cracks in the walls looked with horror at the beech, on which the water washed into the river everything that had the misfortune to get in its way. Dvina is a river down which the lumberjacks send wood, and it was creepy to look at the trees that stood out of the water, like the arms of someone drowning, captured in a flash of a reporter's camera.
This show of nature's force lasted about twenty minutes. The intervals between flashes of lighting and rolls of thunder lengthened and, eventually, it was all over. A few minuted before that it was obvious that the storm was about to end, but I remember specifically the feeling of surprise when it actually came to an end.
Even more surprised, it would seem, was the river. She paused, and after a second shook off the white foam that the rian brought and was again glowing with the reflection of the sun, playing games with it, as if it was always calm and sweet.

But here, in Moscow, the rains are completly different. They don't bring joy, but only sadness and depression with their melancholy and some kind of shyness. And even when the nature sends one of its best storms above the city, it ends with the overfilled drain system, backed up traffic and with the same old Moscow dirt flowing down the streets.

We do not such thing, what happens in the African Federation is none of our buisness. However we do warn you that Nigeria-Cammeroon and Kenya are considered independent nations and any attempt to force any peoples back into a Federation or futhermore any annexation of such territories will be seen as a direct threat against the United Islamic States.

Our intellgeince organisations tell us diffrently. The KGb has had a very active past in several nations, least of all in the regions under United Islamic administration. We ask you once again to acknowledge that you have made mistakes with your use of espionage services and take steps to ensure that Russia does not interfere in internal politics again.

Perhaps you should go after the Russian Mafia and Drug lords who spread this drug into your nation, not the Afghan farmers who are doing so legally under Afghan sovereign laws.

We once again reiterate that any operation against the Afgan state will result in a decleration of war from the United Islamic States against the Russian Federation.

Your continued defamation of the United Islamic States first claiming that our democracy was a sham and then claiming that we are in a way 'medieval' does nothing to improve the already sorrid situation that we now find ourselves in due to your actions. We ask for an immediate apology on both fronts.

The only treaty we have ever broken has been the First Yatala Agreement, and that has been with the acceptance and goodwill of the only other signatory, the United States of Europe. The Second Yatala Agreement was destroyed by continued Russian intellegince operations within the United Islamic States. Russian companies as a result forfeited all assets in the UIS, in retribution for KGB activities in our territory. As for the military build-up we do not have any particular problem, in fact we hope that Russia can find solice in the fact that we support their moves to ensure their southern border is secure. After all any sovereign power wishes to remain secure in the knowledge that it shall be secure in the face of an attack and thus while we see that the Russian Federation is doing so, we too are doing so to ensure that the Russian Federation may not strike at us unawares. Futhermore the fact that we by no means criminal, only using the laws of our nations and the wording of the treaty in context means that you once again owe us an apology.

I am home, and working on stats, and complaints, and some parts of the Update that I did erroneously, or not at all. I have somewhat bad news, for the next few days, my parents are adbondoning me for their like 5th honeymoon, and leaving me to take care of the kids, the house, the pets, etc. So I will have very little time until about middle of next week. The Update therefore cannot be on my Days off on Monday/Tuesday, but on the following week. I will announce when I think I have finished everything. This NES is quite time consuming, lol. lots of y'all are whiners. But I don't mind, I am one as well.

Kirov Class - The pride of the Russian Navy. These nuclear missile cruisers are some of the largest ships built, and are amongst the most powerful. They carry a compliment of up to 200 missiles inculding anti-air and anti-ship missiles as well as cruise missiles for ground assault. P-641B Som - Russian disel-electric attack submarine. A small and rather effective sub that is capable of prolonged dives and carries 24 anti-ship torpedoes with 6 torpedo tubes

Rajawali - Malaysia's powerful new Jet Bomber
Maquina de la Muerta - Spain's new big powerful tank, this is truly a large tank, with big guns, but slow. It means "Tank of Death" in English.
Bandito - Spain's small, and lightly armored, but very fast Interceptor. This is very good at dodging missiles, and running, but not very good if hit.
Adnan-bis - Malaysia's improvment on their turretless tank Adnan, making something good even better
Whale - The South African Nuclear-powered Super-carrier. This huge, powerful Aircraft Carrier is probably the most modern, and best in the world, and has a displacement of over 100,000 tons. Truly a site to be seen.
Kraken - The South African Nuclear-powered Attack Submarine. With new innovative technology allowing this submarine to stay underwater for long periods of time, this Sub is something to be feared by every sailor.
Great White Shark - South Africa's cheap and easy-to-make Destroyer. This small ship is almost too small to be a destroyer, and acts as a good escort ship. It is a slow, but very manourverable vessel, and is well-protected against attack.
Pirvithi - Indian surface to surface missile. Range 350 km it is a solid fueled higly advanced conventional and nuclear capable missile
Agni - Indian Intermediate Range Ballastic Missile. Solid fueled range 4,000 km nuclear capable and conventional.
Centurion Mk x - The new, powerful Swedish Main Battle Tank. This tank is truly a menace on the battlefield, and is powerful, quick, well-armored, and has a fairly large turret.
Strv 103S - The new Swedish Tank that is designed to be a tank hunter. As such, it is equipped with top-of-the-line armor piercing bullets, and is truly feared on the battlefield. Unfortunately, it is slightly under-powered, and is kinda useless against anything other then tanks, but it is still a very good unit, overall.
J-32 Lansen - Swedish all-weather bomber. This is basically an adapted version of the regular bomber, meant to last better in more adverse weather conditions.
J-35 Draken - Swedish all-weather fighter. This, like the J-32 Lansen, is the Swedish versio of the regular Fighter, except that it is weather-proof, and designed to fly in extreme weather conditions.
F-66 Eagle II - Designed by a Malaysian-led Consortium, this new Jet Fighter is probably the best in the world. It takes many elements from existing planes, and improves upon them. This is a mean, fast sleek all-weather Air-Superiority Fighter. New missiles that are more accurate and faster are on this Jet, along with top-of-the line technology.
Shakti - An Indian fighter/bomber combo. Not everything is known about the specifications of this jet, but it is known that is has been specifically made to be both a bomber, and be fast and nimble like a regular fighter.
B-66 Kasawari - This is the latest wonder plane to come out of the secretive Malaysian-led Consortium. This high-tech bomber is semi-Stealthy, it is sleek, and fast. Meant to fly at high altitudes, this bomber comes loaded with ground-breaking technologies in the terms of radar, and other technologies that we can only wonder about. Truly a terror of the skies!
R-66 Peregine - This is perhaps what might be seen as the first true "stealth" plane. This new reconnaisance plane, built and designed by a Malaysian-led consortium is one of the fastest planes in existance, rumored to go upwards of Mach 3.4 It is semi-stealthy, and has a small cross-section. It is equipped with high-resolution cameras so it can look down, and spot what is happening on the ground far, far below.
G-36 - This Yugoslavian Bomber is a long-ranged Bomber that can fly at speeds of over 900 km/h and can do as high as 15 km. It can re-fuel in air, and is able to fly for 11,200 km without running out of fuel. It is apparently able to hold an impressive weight in bombs, and is definitely meant to strike fear into the heart of enemies.
H-66 Falcon - This new, top-of-the-line helicopter, produced by an Malaysian-led Consortium is the best in the world. It combines the Falcon Helicopter with the technology of the F-66 Eagle II to create an awesome Helicopter that is truly a menace on the battlefield.

Parliamentary Elections Grow Ever Nearer
As the parliament continues to shift under constant territory changes and deals, the parliamentary totals as of now stand at:

Total Upper House Seats: 175 (based on population)
Total Lower House Seats: 44 (7 states x 6 representatives +2 from territory of guinea)

Current Parties:

Conservative Party- The party of Nixon, currently holds more seats than any other party, they stand for traditional conservative values in the exception that they stand for a more powerful executive and a united Europe, as well as a large, well funded, and well equipped military. They are expected to pick up many more seats and finally be able to pass their executive power act that the Fascists and them co-wrote, to give the president more power in times of emergency and in normal everyday decision making.

Liberal Opposition- The second largest party, basically opposes everything the conservatives support, they desire miliatary cuts and increased social spending especially in the areas of welfare and drug reform/use, which they also support the legalization of.

Christian Coalition-The third largest party, currently in an alliance with the conservatives, the christian coaliation is a christian group which desires a more involved church in state matters and mostly conservative values. They do however support the funding of the poor through social programs.

Italian Independence Party-Strictly a regional party (though it actually gets votes in other places, go figure), the Italian Independence Party is suspected to lose a large portion of its former vote due to recent economic and political factors along with contreversy and weak leadership in the face of an Italian "government in exile" which appears to be hurting the independence movement more than it intended to help.

French Independence Party-A party for French independence, picks up a portion of votes throughout France.

Social Worker's Party-A socialist-communist alliance party, the party is often allied with the Liberal Opposition in its attempts to downsize the military and jack up social spending.

Fascist Party-The fascist party has been on an ever-sinking spiral ever since the fascists passed control of the nation to the democracy which exists today, the Fascists still pick up a few seats and have actually proposed many successful bills that the conservatives and christians pushed through the parliament.

National Self-Determination Party-Rather a pointless party, the national self-determination party stands for the disintegration of the USE into its former pre-1967 nations. The party would have some support in Ireland, Italy, and France were it not for the seperate movements in those various regions. Thusly, the party currently holds no seats.
