Hi.
I disappered from this forum for a long time, I guess I was too busy playing Rocx in civ3 to notice that even Rhye himself was not too active too.
I decided to contact him on ICQ almost a week ago, without an answer. Today, I received a response that I had not expected. I can't find the words to describe that moment, hence I'll copy the text itself.
Rhye: Buongiorno Riker.
For those who are not Italian speakers, I'll give a simple translation. But it will not be too accurate, since my mind is clouded and my eyes full of tears.
Rhye: Good morning Riker. I'm sorry, but I'm not Rhye. I'm his fianceem you should remember me, we met in Lucca the last year. I have to tell you something very, very sad, and I hope you'll be kind enough to share it with the RFC forum, because he would do that if he could. On this friday's afternoon, Rhye left us. He was waiting for the bus, near his apartment in Livorno, in Giustiniani's Street, when a little girl fell in the middle of the street. He stood and rushed to help her, but he never managed to sit back at the bus stop. It was a tragic accident. The city, me, the girl, his family, everyone, is still deeply shocked and in tears. For these reason, I ask you, who was his friend, and to everyone who in those years worshipped him and helped him in his projects to non forget him. Goodbye, Lidia.
This is a very sad day, and I think we will review our past comments on his mods in our mind, trying to remember if the last thing we said to him was a useful critic or just some pointless whine.
We loved you Rhye.
And we won't forget you.
