Please help me...

I'm trying to create a scenario for PTW.

Everything was going fine, I'd added units and modified the rules and there were no problems.

Then I regenerated the map.

Since then the Goody Huts have not been showing. They're in the game but not on the editor screen - which makes it kinda difficult to place them.

I can infer their existance by hovering over tiles (getting the "Not allowed to place" icon) when I have the Goody Hut overlay selected or by right clicking and properties, but I can't actually see them.

Then I tried adding a city just to see what would happen and though the name was displayed the city graphic itself was not.

I think this may be a memory issue (the map is 362x362 and is mostly (about 80%) land, but that said I have loads of RAM so I don't see why it should be.

I have tried shutting down, making sure there were no other programs running etc. but to no avail.

I'm running PTW with the European 1.21f patch (is it 1.21f? The latest one anyway).

Thanks in advance.

This is probably a year too late.. but. (perhaps others shall be helped by this). I too have had the problem with the goody huts not showing up in the editor, but actually being there, and the only way to discover if there is one or not is to scan to see if you can delete the overlay. I discovered this thread hoping to learn of the problem, but i've just worked it out. :goodjob:

It isn't actually a bug, display of the goody huts (and perhaps other things) can be turned on or off by going into the view menu in the civ-editor, and changing the "clean map' setting (if its switched on huts aren't displayed). As it turns out this is explained in the help menu (which makes me feel stupid! )

"View Clean Map (View Menu)

If selected, all man-made objects (Barbarian camps, goody huts, roads, railroads, mines, irrigation, fortresses, player starting locations, and pollution) are hidden."
