Just read that Google´s profit this year was simply more than 4 times bigger than that of last year (U$ 342.8 millions vs U$ 79 millions). Their total income was twice as big as last years´, totaling U$ 1.38 billion, while Wall Street was expecting no more than U$ 1.32 billion. Google is indeed a money-making machine.

Why didn´t I buy their stocks?

Google is trying to take over the world I think, but they are one of the few corporations I actually would like to see take over. they just have so much cool stuff, the destop search is so useful, and Google Earth is simply stunning. I am kicking myself for not buying Google at its IPO, its already tripled.

I was talking to my dad about buying Google Stock. He stayed away from the IPO as historically companies hyped up that much and that hihg of a starting price tank, but he locked in around $180.

I wonder when we'll see google become as powerful as microsoft is, with its owners becoming as famous and wealthy as bill gates and co. At the rate its expanding, and the fact that the internet is expanding incredibly fast (40million more chinese expected to go online this year, by 2010 its expected over half the globe will be connected, as i read in some science magazine, and google is likely to be the main search engine for that time.)
