Got A Favourite Game?

Now can we get back to talking about our favourite computer games please?

Moderator Action: Yes, let's get back on-topic and stop with all the arguing. I have modified some posts and deleted ones that were completely off-topic. If you have a problem with this then please PM and we can chat about it. Thanks. PaleHorse76

I'm actually a console fan, so my top five would only include Civ2 from the PC world, and at number 2. Without it? Try these.
5:Super Mario World/SNES
4:Goldeneye/N64
3:Final Fantasy 2/SNES
2:Secret of Evermore/SNES
Drumroll, please.
1:Ogre Battle: Person of Lordly Caliber/N64
Some other great titles would be Sim City (any version, really), Ninja Gaiden/NES, Legend of Zelda (any of them!), and Super Mario RPG/SNES. For just a few minutes of fun, though, nothing beats the NES classic, Duck Hunt!

Goldeneye- Played it for a while but never beat all the levels until I started playing again a few of weeks ago. A great game

Tropico-what I play while waiting for Civ to get fixed....

I was a big fan of Gangsters I myself, although I need to go multi-player before I will go there again; the hassle of playing the AI just got to be too much.

But the look and feel was terrific.

Pity they buggered it all up with II and the whole mission-based thing.

For non computer games, for non gamers there a bunch of "party games that works for groups of both genders -- Trivial pusuit, Pictionary, Risk & Bridge all work well. Monopoly (especially with the Ivy League Supplement (about 40 pages of fine print covering the grey areas of the rules) can be challenging for the adult crowd too.

For gamers, Titan is a favorite in my crowd -- we've worn out two copies of the game -- & the various Axis & Allies are hits.

On the computer, (in addition to Civ II) I relax with Lords of Magic (but only on the hard level), Fantasy General, & Star General (which I use/play when I have to do other 'real' life things -- the computer often takes forEVER for its move).:)

Best RPG - Final Fantasy VII

Best Point and click Adventure- Broken Sword 1&2
- Monkey Island 1,2&3

Best sports sim - Champoinship Manager (any of them)

RT strategy - Command and Conquer - red Alert 2
