I can never remember. Can you post at the head of the gotm rules, the submission requirements(saves, formats, stc.) and where they are to be sent? thanx.

I think I will have a go at this! It looks fun! :)

But I was looking through the past games and there aren't any results for the last 2 Games of the Month? I was wondering how long it takes for the results to be poster after the closing date?

Normally, the preliminary results are done a couple days after the submission deadlne. Then certain games are reviewed in more detail. This is the area that takes the most time since it depends on multiple people responding and that information being compiled.

So, except for times where I get busy in real life, the results are done once the games are done being reviewed.

Just a short note to offer a commendation for the duke -- he really does a quality job checking through all the submissions. :goodjob:

I'm a little curious. What sort of things are looked for in a detailed check? (omit anything thats a state secret:) )

Thanks, but it is certainly a team effort. I'm not doing all the detailed checks by myself. :)

Booooh !
This month, I'm so sad : I cannot play, because I never win by SS : I don't know how to built it (how many of each component ...?), and I have to wait for the next GOTM.....

see you

Flat world ? I have never played this before, does this mean that the Grenwich meridian behaves like the polar regions.

Yes, in that you can't sail directly from one "side" of the map to the other by crossing the meridian. However, I believe one difference is that the sides and the poles are not necessarily considered land, so triremes can sink if you run them along the map border.

So I won't be able to use my favourite stategy of sending a unit from my capital backwards across the international date line and gaining extra turns.
