GOTM 5 Trouble

Hey all

I think I might have done something wrong. I killed off all the other civs, but the game is not ending?!?!? I thought when the last one died, that was it. Anyone have any ideas????

I've hearded of this problem before. Just give the savegame to me and I'll verify if there really isn't anyone else left. If so, you'll simply be added to the results list. If not, you may go and search.

I'm guessing a new "sub civ" branched off some where

More than likely one of those other civs you thought you destroyed has a city somewhere you hve now discovered. I had that problem before. The AI likes generating cities of civs which about to be destroyed. The best thing is to search where you do not have any units currently. You will probably find the "lost city" of the last civ you destroyed. Happy hunting.

Did you save the game after you took the last city.You must save your game before you take the last city.If you don't, the savegame is useless,the game won't finish once you've reloaded a savegame where you already have won.I don't know why it happens but it does (!!!!!!!)

It is possible that there is a civ without a city that has a settler stranded somewhere who won't start a city. I have seen such tribes on rare occasions. If this is the case, you'll have to hunt him down or hope the barbarians get him.
