GOTM 74 Final Spoiler

Had to rush to finish this one in time. basic idea from the start was to try for a space victory which ended as a diplo circa 1680 ish.

Highlights for me.

Missing CS slingshot by a couple of turns in 1200BC. Nothing unusual for me. Not paranoid but seems all my AI finish the Oracle centuries before every one else.. ;)

Wars.

Dead, Cyrus - KK.

Mostly dead Hattie. Reached her capital the turn she got LB's so gave up on that idea with the intention of finishing the job but never got around to it.

Still planning for space but the last minute changed to try for a UN victory. Used Lib to take AL as already had radio and thought I'd build the UN quicker with a factory/coal plant than without.

On the first vote with the help of Alex won the diplo victory.

Thanks for the game.

Conquest 125 AD.

Fun with Quechuas. Even more fun with horse archers. Went a little overboard with horses at the expense population growth so not much points for me!

Settled on the PH south. Build order: Worker-Quechua-Settler. After 2nd city settled on the desert tile SW of cows, both cities pumped quechuas. Took out Kublai first, then the capital of Cyrus. Expanded a little bit more while aiming for CS-sling which I got.

Got HBR and spammed horse archers until the end of game. AIs mostly had archers defending, so not a big problem. Even Alex' phalanxes (2 of them) were a bit of a letdown.

Elimination order: KK-Hatty-Roose-Alex/Cyrus-Mansa. No problems with economy even with three simultaneous wars going on. No problems with barbs, they were mere experience givers.

Mistakes: Alphas was a totally useless tech, should have focused my efforts on calendar. Let Cyrus live too long. Possibly getting the cs sling, but I don't know how the non-CS path would have affected my game in the long run. Possibly the game would have ended with BC-victory...or total disaster.

Thanks for the game.
