GOTM and TOT - SOL?

Very sorry if this is covered in another thread. If it is, I couldn't find it.

Only version I have until The Trey is TOT. Am I just SOL, or is there some way I can convert the saved game to TOT? I'd really like to participate. Please help. Thanks.

I think you should be able to since you can do classic Civ 2 with ToT and it is exactly the same game with different graphics.

Well, I just found another TOT thread....sorry Brady...with a last post of 4/19.

It looks like all of us poor suckers with TOT are, ahem, S*** Out of Luck! Bummer, because I was looking forward to playing the GOTM's.

If by some miracle anyone knows of any secrets that would allow this, please reply to this or send me a PM. Thanks.

Well it's correct that you can't play the GotM if you only have TOT. But not long ago there was, on the frontpage, a news article about how you can convert/upgrade your classic and ToT versions to MGE - just look at the news and you'll find the link.
