Calendar year 2013 was the 11 games 140-150.
Although 150 is still in progress, the first game of the new year, 151, with a theme of finishing as soon as possible, is well underway, so it is not to soon to review the year past.
Or at least estimate it! I use the spoiler threads, as only 140 has so far got its results out. (Take heart - at the end of 2012 the number of games done but not scored was 14, so thanks and well done to Magic for getting it down to 9!)
And 140 rates to have been the game of the year - 67 spoiler posts and 8 submissions are almost certain to ensure that. And the impressive green star of zenon (back after eight years, and fully described in the spoiler) will at least to this judge likely be the standout entry of the year.
Ali took over setting the games from 141, and regular players were invited to put forward ideas. The result was more novel ideas and many games on known maps. In general the set of games had more specials and fewer regular games than might have been the case previously.
The four current "core" players (Ali_Ardavan, haleewud, Major_Advantage and Inkerman) each played all or nearly all, and of course in the shadows mercurios may well be clocking up more blue stars! Who else may have submitted games?
That_Scott_Dude played the first two. Peaster returned for a speedy conquest in 148, the barbarian wrath game, and tiornys joined 144. But the main excitement was URUWASHI and starlifter joining 145 (OCC from a very good artificial site) and Professor_Garfield joining the world map game 146, and using YouTube to discuss the early play.
