Are the spoilers on the honor system?

Will I be at a disadvantage in GOTM9 (my first one) if I don't have Warlords yet?

I have no idea if the spoilers are on the honor system or if they monitor the posts to see if anyone is going in before they should. It never occured to me to think about it...

For your second question, no, you will not be at a disadvantage, and having warlords is irrelevant. This GOTM is for standard civ 4 only. Staff has told us that starting middle of September they plan to start hosting a seperate GOTM for the warlords version (running the two series in parrallel.)

The whole game is on the "honour" system! We try to monitor for the more blatant fouls, but if a player insisted on cheating they'd "succeed" ....

Just what that "success" would mean, I can't imagine. The satisfaction of pulling the wool over the eyes of the staff? Delight at having beaten their fellow players by cheating? Great! Whatever turns you on .

See the first reply. They are two different games. We couldn't run a single game played on both vanilla Cv4 and Warlords even if we wanted to.
