This one's might be worth your time until gotm32: Here's a scenario file that lets you play new random games or create your own scenarios based on the existing GotM add-ons.

Almost everything is there, known Civs with odd names, new Civs (the Baekje, the Chosogabe, and the wonderful Minoans from gotm21), lots of flavor units, and squids, fogs and volcanos to keep your ancient warriors and galleys busy!

v1.29 users can now play all those PTW Civs' implementations that belong to crackers heritage.

And all that in a 45kB file! The rest already sits on your harddrive. The zip archive contains the scenario file and a PediaIcons.txt. This pediaicons file is compatible to the existing pediaicons file, and furthermore, i hope it is also compatible to the standard pediaicons. This goes to the v1.29 users out there: you can put this file in without having trouble (please back up, anyway). PTW users will find a scenarios folder in their archive, so they don't have to swap any files at all.

Please have a look at the readme file before you try it out. Comments + suggestions please in the related forum thread (link below) or via pm. e-mail to the gotm staff does not make sense, because I'm not a member of the staff.

There are downloads available for v1.29 + PTW. This is kind of a beta version, I'd call it GotM Mod v0.9, though I think it runs quite well, already. I played a few test setups and had a lot of fun. I would like to know what you think about it. In upcoming versions I will add an edited civilopedia file as well.

The scenario files are HERE!

thank you & I hope you like it

After the substancial changes at the beginning of this month this project appears in an somewhat nostalgic light. Nevertheless, I believe the modifications of the classic GotM Mod sum up to unique and interesting experience.

Well, then ....

... here's the bugfixed complete GotM Mod Scenario!!

And you've opened up a whole new world for the Mac community on random maps! New civs to play, new units to klll and all the GOTM practice you can handle. :thanx:

Bluebox...

Love the mod... as a Mac player it is stellar.

one small note though, the Keltoi don't need to link up to or build a colony on an iron source to be able to access that source as long as it is within their border.

what's up?

You can't build a colony inside your border as far as I know

Do you have a save that demonstrates that you don't need a road to it?

hello boyd,

thank you for your remark! the expanation for the things you have observed is quite simple: the european swordsmen doesn't require iron at all. that's of course not how it is supposed to be and the bug will be fixed in an upcoming version. this will take a few weeks because i want to fix some other isssues as well and i'm busy in rl at the moment.
if you are too disturbed by the error you can fix it for yourself in the editor: open then "gotm.bic" file, choose edit units, choose European Swordsman, select "iron" as one of the needed resorces at the middle left, save. but you have to start a new game to benefit from the change.
