there are basically 2 types of warmongers, the methodical piece by piece type and the always at war till victory or death type.
Remember there are no rules ecthed in stone, but in general I would say:
The first type wages wars in a series: 10 to 20 turns of war, 1 enemy at a time, 10 to 20 turns of infrastruture building - back to war -repeat -repeat - good relations with everyone until it's their turn/ keep your ROPs ect.....As a newbie with this style it is better to go the Monarchy/Communism route. As an expierenced player you can get away with Republic the entire game - fascism if a world war erupts. (do not try the Republic route if your skills are still novice - it will fall apart on you). Wonders to shoot for Leo's and Sun Tzu's (and Universal Suffrage for the Republic route) - do not waste time on any of the others - none - NEVER - (exceptions: Zeus and K. Templars).
The second type usaually plays a militaristic CIV, usually starts with an archer rush on his nearest neighbor - and never lets up - never. The second type likes to alternate his wars between neighbors ensuring that none of them ever gets the chance to develop a sound infrastructure. he will wage wars against multiple CIVs if need be, he will choose a perfect moment to violate that ROP later in the game, and he will try to keep every CIV in the game involved in tangled alliances of never ending AI vs AI wars. This style has no room for republics or democracies - Monarchy the whole game/ or 1 switch to Communism later on. Wonders to shoot for: Leo's - all others taken by force. (exceptions: Zeus and K. Templar).
Very general guidlines only - hope this helps
