The jungles in the waist make HBR a non-starter at this point though it is needed to enter the next Age, Philosophy and CoL are also required, Literature is a necessity for libraries. The most valuable three-fer is CoL from Abe, then Lit from Gandhi for CoL, then Philosophy from Caesar for CoL, then HBR from Gandhi for Phil.

Abe wants a standard premium for his monopoly tech, a total of 430g (1.5x value), so here goes...
CoL from Abe for 250g+9gpt; Lit, WM and 10g from Gandhi for CoL; Philosophy, WM and 6g from Caesar for CoL; then HBR from Gandhi for Philosophy; and, we get four techs at a net cost ~400g and are at parity. Research on Monarchy is continued with a single scientist at Calix
and Tzintzunt... is remaned Poxyx.
Jag is sent from Calix to Poxyx and the build at Poxyx changed to temple (waiting for growth in 18, then start worker) and Calix starts Courthouse. Corruption is 50% of our expense budget, so any little help there will help.
Towns on south coasts start harbors.
Jags in jungle will start waltz with India settler/warrior to push them north and away from the iron.

India moves to coast and barbs kill a Jag in the Jungle and sink a galley in the sea.

Jags guarding choke move south to collect fines from barbarian camp.

It looks like the Monarchy research will pay off. It's due in 8 and Abe and Julie have many moneys to pay for it.
Only two settlement spots left on the peninsula; on the plains or hill between Taco and Loco and in the southern icelands.
Military is building slowly towards eventual wars with India and Rome, after we get Monarchy, peddle the tech for cash and Construction and revolt out of despotism.
Galleys are slowly probing the fog to the west.
Citizens at Rikem and the town to the north are not happy due to whip application. Rikem has a scientist and the other is on the verge of a riot.

IHT: I did move laborers from 1 or 2 tiles to another, And changed some buildqueues. Switch Teoti to worker-pump. I don't see the need for more galleys; switch Loco to sword. Switch Taco to temple and pop-rush.

We need: workers, defenders, attackers and luxuries.
For that we need more production and we need to get the gems connected.

Switch Rikem to temple (wasting 16 shields). Same for Calix.

India wants Ivory + 5 gpt for Wines, Rome want for their wines Ivory + 4 gpt. Since we are going to

fight India soon (and because it's cheaper); I sign the deal with Rome. Drop lux slider to 0%. We only gain 2 gpt back, but that will improve when our cities grow. Send injured galley to a suicide-take off-point.

[6] 30 BC. The injured galley sees purple borders where there were none before. The Indians beat us to it. No problem; we can still use it as suicide-base.

We learn Monarchy. Switch to currency. Decide to revolt. Choose Monarchy (Religious, remember?). Rome builds embassy in our Capital.

[8] 10 AD. We have to be lucky on our island. If I rush a defender and they attack this turn; I've wasted 52 gold. I choose to send a sword and a jag in a galley to our island.
I can't even up the sci-slider; we are now at +1 gpt, and if I raise sci to 10% we go down to -2 gpt, getting currency in 40. Appoint scientist. Now at 154 gold, 0 gpt.

IBT: Americans declared war on us. Not unexpected, but not good either.
4/4 jag beats 4/4 attacking warrior, wins but redlined. Our Golden Age starts.
1/4 jag looses to 3/3 warrior, without doing damage.
