Graphic problem with civics

When I go into the civic menu I cant change the civics. The buttons are clean without any text and they cant be used. Also when I go into the "civilizationpedia" to read about the civics this text is also blanc.

Any suggestons what the reason for this might be?

I have beyond the sword 3.17 installed. Newest ati drivers and updated windos vista

sounds like a corrupted install - where there any troubles with it? what does the about this build screen show?

I believe I have the exact same problem as you do. I have installed Civ 4 vanilla, and then I installed BtS on it. I'm patching BtS to version 3.19 at the moment, I'll see if this changes anything.

The problem is that there is no icon in the civics menu to press, in order to "start the revolution" and adapt a new civic. The only button is the "cancel" button.

If this patching doesn't work, I'll have to reinstall the whole set. (again )

OH WOWIE patching didn't work. What a surprise. I guess I'll reinstall everything when I have the energy for it...

The missing civics buttons/info aren't the only thing that's wrong. There are many other texts and buttons which are written like this: "TXT_KEY_SOMETHING". These keys work, but it's obviously an error.

those are xml errors - is this game installed on an operating system that is non-latin?
is thisgame installed with admin rights?
what operating system is this?
