Moderator Action: The most recent off topic post has been moved to its own thread. Please take any posts to this thread if they deal with:
1) Whether preplanning is good, bad, possible, difficult, a waste of time, subversive, evil, best thing since sliced bread, etc.
2) Whether I should have polled regarding the first GL. If I'm an evil despot because I didn't poll regarding the first GL. If I correctly analyzed the will of the people and did what was best for Fanatika by creating an army with the first GL. Anything else having to do with how the first GL was handled.
If they deal with any topic other than Great Leaders and how to plan for their use, start a different thread. Comments on the use of moderation powers to regulate the forum rules may be directed to the Site Feedback forum.

Well, I think with our next Great Leader we should build the Forbidden Palace. Right now, Eklektochtitlan or maybe Dacula look like good candidates. I will start a thread on this.
I congratulate everyone for reviving this discussion in advance.
Put me in the camp with Cyc in believing that this is a valuable use of discussion time.
As to the issue at hand, I agree that we might need to use our next leader on a FP, but the location of that might need to be it's own thread for discussion.
If Sun Tzu is available, I think we could gain benefit from rushing it or Leo as well.
The FP will be available after we found 1 more city. That's a wonder that I always put near the top of my GL wish list.
For a general strategy I would say use a GL on an available Great Wonder if one is available. Even the ones that aren't so hot are still pretty good and we won't be outbuilding the AI on any of these. If there was no Great Wonder available I would use the GL for the Forbidden Palace. If our Forbidden Palace location was not yet secured (or had already been built) I would make a new army.
