Great Library in 2-player games??

Hello guys!

Does anybody know if the Great Lib. works in 2 player games? Since it gives you only techs that 2 other civs possess, it shouldn't, but you never know.. Anyway, in my current game I am a wee bit behind in tech and uninclined to make experiments since if it doesn't work, I'll have wasted a huge effort... Please help me!!

Yeah, U R rite! I had time for a little experiment; gave ALL techs to the Zulus in cheat mode and let the Romans build the GL..nothing happend, case closed!

I don't think building the Great Library will help, but I must ask if your experiment really helped at all. Once all the techs are given, doesn't that make the Great Library antiquated? I thought it doesn't work after a certain tech (i forget which) has been discovered.

As well, the GL gives you a tech only when another civ acquires a tech. Try a 4 player test where 3 have pottery and the 4th has the GL and no pottery. 4th will never get pottery through the GL.
