How has the great person mechanic changed in BNW? IIRC, Gods and Kings/Vanilla worked like this: you ran specialists or built wonders, got the GPP, and when you got to 100, you got a GP of that specified type, and then, the next GP requires 200 points], and it all continued from there. And, I'm pretty sure the costs of ALL great persons (well, prophets, generals, and admirals are different, so ignoring those) went up, so I remember sometimes having to prevent merchants from popping in favor of scientists, especially when going for a science victory. This pretty much prevents the Mayans from ever producing natural GP, since their UA increases Great Person costs.
Well, what's different for Brave New world? Whenever an artist or other cultural person appears, I don't notice the costs of any other great person increasing. Have they changed the way this works? Does this mean the Mayans now have a chance to create natural great persons? And, when you get "free" Great Persons, is it still like before, where some of them still increase the cost of natural great persons? Like, the Globe Theatre: does the free great writer increase the cost of the next one?
