Hello all,

I happen to be color-blind, and have a difficult time seeing my cultural boundaries, on occasion. The problem is worse with some civs than others. I build the GW on nearly every occasion, when possible, and have a question.

Since the GW accents my cultural border, I was wondering if there's a mod that allows the appearance of the GW to expand as my culture grows. While I understand that it'd be unrealistic for the wall to be remade with each city growth, I'd really appreciate any graphical changes, as unrealistic as they may be. Since the effects of the GW change with city growth, anyway, I figured this wouldn't be too much of a stretch.

I am playing a fully-patched version of BtS, with Warlords previously installed, if it matters. Thanks a bunch for any assistance.

That would be unrealistic, but pretty cool.

I assume it would be more than just XML and thus way out of my league. I actually hope some figures this out.

Meanwhile you could try & edit the colours the countries use. AFAIK they use the RGB values divided by 256.

Those can be found in \Assets\XML\Interface\CIV4ColorVals.xml.
For reference which colours are for players, use CIV4PlayerColorInfos.xml found in the same folder.

If anyone wishes to do this they should look at CvCity::setNumRealBuildingTimed, near the end.

Thanks for the responses, folks. I guess lacking a mod, or whatever, that I'll just try and play with some darker colors, if I can figure that part out ;).

I realize that it's not a matter of Civ life or death, but I was hoping it wouldn't be a tremendously difficult effort.

Thanks again guys, for the responses.
