This is what I have found out about great work yield:

Relics +4 faith +8 tourism (triple yield with Reliquaries follower belief)
Tourism from relics are halved against civs who have enlightment but can be restored by building Cristo Redentor wonder

Great work of writing: +4 culture +4 tourism

Great work of art (several types): +3 culture +3 tourism (double yields if themed)
Theming requires 3 arts of the same type from 3 different artists

Artifacts: +3 culture +3 tourism (double yields if themed)
Theming requires 3 relics from the same era from 3 different civilizations

Great work of music: +4 culture +4 tourism

Heritage tourism card give +100% tourism from great works of art and artifacts (I think it applies to great work of writing as well).

Satellite Broadcast card tripple tourism from great works of music

Computer technology double all tourism yields

You can only massproduce them with apostle martyring which is expensive in terms of faith and you pretty much need to get the wonder for it. And then you are still have limited amount of slots (temple give one slot each).

Starting with religion is however a good way to win a culture victory, later on faith can be used to create national parks (actually it is the only way to create parks).

Relics seem quite OP at the moment.
Yes, but they seem limited by slots as it seems. You can get quite an amount from apostles (and as Sumeria), but keeping up with slots for them might not be too easy. The palace has a slot (except for Kongo, there the palace has 5 slots), each temple provides 1 slot. Then there is the cathedral third tier holy site building that has a slot, but this is only available for one religion. Some wonders give a slot.
Compare that with great works of art, where you can get much more slots easily.

Well, they seem to be the most powerful of the GWs and are the only one (I think?) that you can pop from a goody hut right at the beginning of the game...whoever finds one gets a massive yield bonus right off the bat.

In an end game stage you may have +50 great works, maybe over 100 in some cases.

If you focus on getting great artist point you can get alot of them.

There is an older thread about that being OP. But I like it. It's pure chance, of course, and that's why some don't like it.

I'm cool with the pure chance bit, the part I'm skeptical about is having the most powerful of all the great works being the first one you (potentially) get.

It's worth pointing out that the Enlightenment civic affects tourism from relics.

EDIT: And the Cristo Redentor wonder negates this Enlightenment effect :)

EDIT 2: sorry I see this was already in the original post.

Some other things worth to mention:

England get 6 slot archaeological museum that are automatically themed thenever they have 6 artifacts, they don't have to care at all about which artificats they get they only need to care about quantity which is pretty huge bonus.

Kongo may not be able to create national parks (because they lack faith) but they get double the amount of points towards all types of great artists.

Can't Kongo still get faith? They just cannot found religion.

How many slots does the palace get, though? It seems to increase over time.

I think it is one. Five if you are Kongo but then palace is pretty much your only way to store relics.
Oh, okay, this is what I was confused about. I was watching late-game Kongo footage and saw 5 slots in the palace and assumed it was because of some techs/civics but now see it was just because of the Kongo not being allowed to build temples. Makes sense. Thanks!

Do anybody know if all great artist work are exactly the same? There are many types and I have not looked through them all.
