Greatest players without a championship

Saku Koivu (Captain of Montreal Canadiens).

I really don't think Koivu is anywhere near the greatest NHLer without a championship.

After all, there is still:
Marcel Dionne (5th all time in points)
Adam Oates
Dale Hawerchuk
Brad Park
and many more.

Barry Sanders would be, in my opinion, the greatest athlete to go without a championship. Did the same thing as some of the greatest RB's in half the time.

Barry Sanders could have easily had 3000 yards on Emmit Smith and Walter Payton, he just hated playing for the Lions. As soon as Ford leaves Lions = t3h pwn.

The field is named after them, the Fords are never going away :p

Saku perhaps isn't the best, but he's great player overall, who has had his ordeals in the past. And he's a great guy off-ice too.

Back to basketball, there is this.
Movie is from the 87 european national team championship, which he won. He also won a large number of national championships, but never a european with his regular team (closest he came was third).

Dan Marino, Barry Sanders, Mats Sundin, Marcus Naslund, Alex Kovalev, Daniel Alfredson, Wendel Clark, Mike Gartner, Trevor Linden, Thurman Thomas, Dan Fouts.

A few more I cant think of right now, and doubting some of the NHL ones.

Ted Williams
Barry Bonds (Roids or not, he's a heck of a ballplayer)
Curtis Martin
Marino
Barry Sanders
