Greece confirmed - one spot left for a civ

Spain wouldn't be the same without Isabella trying to shove her religion down our throats (and up our asses?)

I really really hope it's Persia. I am already dissapointed because we can't have Persia and Babylon. Both deserve it more than the Vikings and Persia definitely deserves it more than Vikings, Spain, and half of the already confirmed civs.
If Persia is not in vanilla Civ5 I shall be very annoyed.

I'm really really hoping Persia is among the 18 civilizations, but I believe they wont make it this time. :(

I'd prefer Persia also. It seems like they're going more by gameplay styles though than who 'deserves' to be in this time around.

Doesn't anyone think it could be Babylonia? They were in the vanilla versions of civ1, 2 and 3.

Persia is more likely, but the Vikings more exciting. I agree that Persia "deserves" to be in more, but Spain seems to be more deserving than Songhai too, so that's not very reliable.

I wonder if Firaxis is doing this on purpose...

You forget the most important thing: customers and their money!

Spain is a market of 46 millions which would surely love their nation to be playable. I don't know whether south americans identify with spain, but that might even increase the number.

Vikings might fit for scandinavia, but they are only about 25 millions (S,N,Dk,Fin) and don't identify themselves with vikings that much any more (I lived half a year in Nidaros - old name for Trondheim! - and there's not so much to be seen from viking history, really nice place by the way :D )
Furthermore, the vikings would make an excellent barbarian city state, which would explain their appearence in the video (offensive, but good trading partners if they like you, and mighty allies!)

Persia won't attract too many players, or is there a huge fanbase in todays Iran I missed? Historically, both were major players, but spain more recent, persia mattered most 2500 years ago.

Sure I could be wrong, but spain would be the only major market not served:

USA
Germany
France
Italy (Rome)
GB

Don't know about the asian fanbase, what about korea?

Ok! Now I can give my opinion!

So there isn't no confirmation between Spain, Persia, Babylon or the Vikings or another civ!
The Roster is the Songhai!

if you go by markets: Spain is the obvious choise.
if you go by regions: Persia
if you go by historical importance: Babylon
if you go by me: PORTUGAL

I think that the last civ will be Babylon!

I wonder if the consumer-market isn't larger in Scandinavia than Spain, but they need something to sell the expansions too I guess...

I'm guessing Persia.

I've asked to a Civ V moderator...

I've asked for Spain...

"You're going to have to wait for details like that!"..

SH*T xD
