I think the closing ceremonies of the Winter Olympics showed just how awesome Canada actually is...blow-up mounties followed by oak leaves and moose, people dressed as mounties then cardboard cut out mounties then women dressed as oak leaves...they ran out of symbolism pretty fast!

The preview of the next Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia blew the Canadian ceremonies away...how embarrassing!

So far We've got people speculating about the main 4 that are the logical choices: Spain, Persia, the Incas and the Vikings. I personally think if it came down to those four that the Persians would win out, but I actually am wanting an underdog to get in, like Portugal, or the Zulu, or even the Ottomans. But when Firaxis releases the last civ, some will cheer, some will moan, but it'll be all fine in the end when the first, second, and maybe the third expansion packs come out. So, in the end, Firaxis can do no wrong.

Ottomans are.
It's looking like the final two slots are split between three possible civs: Persia, Siam, and Inca.
The former two have had confirmed UUs, the latter had a confirmed language. However, it's possible that although the Quechua language is present, it could be used as a generic south american language.

I'm really hoping for Persia. They were a HUGE civilization and it would be sad to not see them. Plus as far as i remember, there are no other civilizations from that area of the world.

I would be quite shocked not to see Persia in. I wonder how long it will be before we know for sure.
