Hi. I found this site a few weeks ago and have been reading it. Civ2 was the first game I bought for my new PC years ago. It's one of those timeless games like chess. I have 100's of games but only play a few. Never played civ1, Bought Alpha Centaurii played it maybe 3 times. Civ3 doesn't look to be something I'll like. Just wanted to say hi, and introduce myself.

Me too..pretty much.SMAC is not too bad but too complex for the ai to handle.I gave Civ3 a chance...but...it just doesn't grab me.Its ok,but they took steps backwards IMO over Civ2.Fancy new animated graphics doesn't equal good game play....or even fun gameplay.
Beleive it or not,I have never played Civ1

Timeless is correct.There are self handicap challenges like OCC for normal play.Senarios are like brand new games that just use the civ2 engine.Multiplay is an absolute blast...still going strong.

Games come and go,but Civ2 STAYS.A computer is incomplete without it installed.
