I think that maybe certain types of units loaded onto a naval unit should increase their combat ability. You know, hoplites loaded onto Greek triremes did win many battles in real history. Hmm...here is a list of the units who should give naval units they are loaded onto a combat bonus:

Archer
Bowman
Spearman
Hoplite
Impi
Longbowman
Musketman
Musketeer
Cavalry
Cossack
Rifleman
Infantry
Marine
Mech Infantry

I would like to know if anyone shares my opinon.

I don't know how a infantry can make a difference loaded in a battleship.
ancient and middle age = maybe  (don't see the use)
industrial and modern age = no way :(

"industrial and modern age = no way"
the MRLS can dump 6 missile at the enemy in 1 firing!

of course the transport may be
fill with the exhaust after that!

That's right. It's more a function of primitive ships. The Viking longboat is one example. They could navigate rivers or the open sea, fight on the water, and land a force of arms just about anywhere.

Only with galleys where BOARDING was important.

Example: the Carthaginians ruled the sea. . . until the Romans put legions on their galleys and figured out a good way to board Carthaginian vessels.

Boarding remained the primary strategy of naval warfare right up until Drake and the late 16th century english navy.

Their sucess against the armada was in no small part due to their application of the new strategy of gunning from afar without letting infantry board, while the spanish still sought to apply the old one of ship-boarding.

Ok then, maybe the effect of ground unit naval combat ehancement could wear off when you discover Magnetism or something.
