Growing Problem

Alright, I have a serious problem, and it's getting worse every day.
It's my internet, the highest speed is 11.0 mbps, which I hear is alot. But, recently my computer (according to data sheets) is recieving on average, I would gess less than 1 "packet" every second, how disgusting. This means no matter what site I am on it will always be (very) slow, sometimes not even load pages. Now I need help solving this problem-

• I don't think it's too many programs running in the backround. I could have just Firefox and MacAfee security center running and it's still slow
• It can't be spyware or a virus because I ran scans and nothing turned up.
• It can't be my whole connection, because the other computer in my house (which I'm currently using) loads pages in milliseconds
• It can't be the other websites server, because I doubt every server on the web is down all the time
• It can't be my browser, 'cause I don't use IE

So somebody please help me solve the problem, because my internet runs slower every day.

Come on people, I seriously need help here. It's getting slower and slower every day and there is no way to stop it.

BTW here is a screenshot, it shows the history of the speed of my internet. Not very impressive.

is it a broadband connection?
If so, it could be the card. It could also be the actual connection. Sometimes there is just something messed up and it wont work properly.

I had a very similar problem on a compuer and I fixed it with a new ethernet card. Also had to redo the system settings for the connection.

But Id try swapping out the etehernet card first. OR updating the drivers on the one you are using.
