Most of these 'problems' are yours and yours alone. I don't really share of those opinions, and as for the world map. Design one yourself maybe?
Originally posted by cutiestar Troyens do you complain about every game you play, when they maybe don't have the certain gun you wanted to use, or maybe haven't put ammunition exactly where you would have liked it? or maybe because they sent two creatures to attack you, when your reactions can only possibly deal with one at a time. I don't want to change the topic of this thread, but the game is designed how it is, play it that way and stop expecting it to be made the way you want it.
As for this thread it seems the problem has been resolved, good on you, a slightly higher level and a FP and a different strategy than was used in CIV II, would be a great start.

Hehe well I no longer dislike the game thats for sure, I think I must have been smoking crack the day I wrote the original message.
Anyway that problem may be solved but I have more questions that need answering so if anyone would be so gracious as to provide answers for the following:-
1. Is there any way I can determine the amount of time remaining on a trade deal? I have tried the trade advisor and foreign advisors screen but no joy, I have also tried contacting the civ in question to see if theres any mention there but as far as I can see there isn't unless I've gone blind.
2. Reading through the civopedia I came across the entry for knights, now I just plain don't get the point of war elephants as from what I saw they have the same stats as regular knights and don't have the retreat from combat ability(all though I may be wrong about that) so what the hell is the advantage to elephants? This is more of a padding question as I'm not actually playing as or against the Indians so its not really important at the moment but I couldn't just put one question
1) Contact the civ's leader and start discussions, check the active agreements. A number will show. The number is the number of turns remaining. Someone may know a better way.
