Guess the scenarios

There is a regicide Feudal Japan scenario, but I don't know if it is specifically a Conquest

Mesopotamia and Battle for Americas (Incas, Mayans, etc.) are mentioned on the Official Site, I've not heard of WWII but since everyone and their mother appears to need a WWII scenario for every single game that comes out ... (can you tell I'm bored with WWII? )

Although i wouldn't be surprised if eight of them were about America, and the Americans made an appearance in the Cradle of Civilisation...

I hope they'll give us sufficient tools to be able to make credible scenarios - then I may think about doing some Chinese scenarios.

Certainly at least one futuristic scenario, like Apocalypse or Alien Invasion again perhaps. Since it's a US game, the US independence will be in it too of course. After that I'd guess the Romans.

Mesoamerican (Ball courts and ritual sacrifice! )
Mesopotamian (7 Wonders of the World)

There are 4 more to go. I'm hoping there won't be yet another WWII Conquest (enough with the WWII already!) ... if I had to choose 4, I'd choose the following:

1) Colonization of Africa
2) Roman Republic Expansion (not Empire)
3) 1815-1918 Europe (would need an Austrian Civ, and "Prussians" mod of Germans)
4) COLONIZATION (based on the original Sid Meier game )

I like the what I've seen in the gamespot preview, but none of those was a surprise - WW2 and Japan was given, Mesopotamia and Mesoamerica already confirmed.

What I want, is:

WW I. Can't repeat it often enough: Like in Civ2, the game engine perfectly fits the early 20th century warfare. Absolutely fantastic how you need Tanks (= Techs) to win the war. Also, in contrast to most other suggestions, there's ZERO good WW1 game (except Flight Sims) available.

Age of Discovery. Could start from Medieval Europe.

But I think we'll get American Civil War (Sid's interest, and look at Civ2), although I don't like it because it is really involving only 2 Civs, and something to use the Dinos.

I'd really like to see the viking invasions. This could be a great senario for Those who like to use boats.

You might need to read the preview a little more closely. There are actually going to be 9 Conquests rather than the original 8.

They added the 9th in the preview, but I was going versus the original when I did my post, so

What I THINK we'll see at this point :

-Colonization of the Americas OR Wars of Religion in Europe (based on the Iberian pikeman we've seen).

-War of Independance or the Civil War for the United States.

-A chinesse scenario, very possibly three Kingdoms.

-Quite possibly a Mediteranean scenario.

-A XIXth century colonization scenario.

i think the reason there are 9 rather than 8 are there is going to be 2 WW2 conquests: Pacific and Europe

Under my control, the South will conquer the northern States and the slaves will never be liberated...
