Ok, I've increased the turn timer to 64 hours (which should work out at just over 72 hours of real time) to avoid the need for any further pausing.

Ronnie, will you be able to play in the first 32 hours of the game clock?

Everyone else, please make sure you are playing before the clock runs down, or play for your teammate if necessary to make sure they don't miss their turn. No more pausing though please... it hurts the flow of the game if we keep stopping and starting.

I get stuck in the diplomacy screen. Did someone pause the game ? How do I get through ?

Since there are still 8 hours, it should be ok if someone can just unpause the game sometime tonight.

un-paused now...it was paused by hw.....go figure.

TP - Have you and HW shared your passwords? The best solution I can think of is to log in as your teammate to unpause the game. Of course, if they also have a diplomacy screen open...

There is now under 3 hours remaining. I hope you can make it in time TP!

I'm having some problems with the wireless internet on my Civ PC. But I managed to play what I wanted for this turn.

Everytime I plug in the wireless USB-receiver, it crashes the PC. I've had this problem before, just don't remember how I handled it then.

I think it looks really interesting. We (and the AI) start with a selection of advanced techs which should make for some unusual opening plays. While Quick speed isn't my favourite, we might find that the game also moves a bit quicker in terms of real-life speed.

HW, dV, R1 and myself are already signed up. I'm already generating (mystery!) test maps

Sorry to see you go hellwitch! Good luck sorting things out. Are you stopping all civ completely? I hope things are ok.

So looks like we now need replacements subs for oyzar, hw (and maybe C63)? Ronnie / tp / dV - got anyone in mind?

About pitboss experience, I have already told dV I found out it doesn't suit my tastes - so if you can find me a replacement, go ahead.

I'm not 100% decided on SG9 - although I've been able to learn a lot from all of our teammates (not to speak of the respectable results we've been achieving) I have to confess I wasn't too thrilled with the level of interaction/commitment in the last iterations of GK's SGs. Maybe I'm also not well adapted to this format and should keep focused on my solo games.
