I'm playing a game of FFH2-Fire as the Elohim. It's my first time playing as the Elohim, and so far the only thing different is the Homeland promotion on units (which has been very helpful, BTW).

Anyway, I noticed that my cities have the ability to build a project called "Hallowing of the Elohim." However, there is no mouse-over tip, and the civilopedia entry is likewise blank. Can someone please tell me what this project/ritual does?

Thanks.

It lowers the armageddon counter of 3 according to the changelog but I read in the bug thread from Kael that it's actually 5. The Sheaim have a project that does exactly the opposite.

It reduces the armageddon counter by 3 (or possibly 5) points and is repeatable, so you can effectively invest in a low armageddon count. The Sheaim have an equivalent which raises the counter. It's also worth noting that they can be sped up by 50% by building the Celestial Compass (req: Astronomy), as can all the other rituals (Rites of Oghma, Nature's Revolt, whatever the other one is).

Very useful to know, thank you! I really like that the Elohim (builders) have this ritual, as a lower Armeggedon counter makes civilizations more peaceful in the Warscript. Cool stuff.

Thats weird, the pedia entry is set in my version. What do you see?

Well, I'm at work now, so I can't verify, but I had a civilopedia entry with the picture, the name, and nothing else. All the other boxes were blank. I was running from patch A. I'll double check again tonight - it's possible that I just missed something.

On a related note: am I the only one who thinks Elegy of the Sheaim and Hallowing of the Elohim are rather dull names? Couldn't they be changed to, say, Elegy of Doom and Hallowing Rites?

They have those names to help casual players remember that they are limited to just those civs.

I double-checked my civilopedia last night. There is a brief description of the ritual that says it decreases the Armeggedon counter by 3. Apparently I was fooled by the overall blankness of the screen. I really need to look at things more closely. Anyway, thanks for all the responses!
