Hanging Gardens Population bonus not working ?

The health bonus is there, but the pop bonus does not seem to be working, or at least in most cities. I start a new city, and it is at one. Shouldn't it be at 2 ? Is there some requirement for each city ? The new cities have the health bonus.

Anyone else have this problem since the patch ?

Side note... Stonehenge produces 16 culture. Oops, but one I do not mind if I own it !

I think the hanging gardens only applies the population boost at the moment it is built, not to any cities that are built afterwards. It'll only give +1 population to your existing cities.

Any wonder or city improvement that produces culture produces twice as much once it is more than 1000 years old. Stonehenge must have therefore stood for more than 1000 years, and so is generating 16 culture instead of 8.

I've always seen it work this way. The population bonus is applied to all your cities at the time the Hanging Gardens are completed. To me, this looks independant to founding new cities, which always start with a population of 1.

This looks good. I never really figured out this one, but I like the idea.

I am almost 100% sure that pre 152 patch that it applied to all you built afterwards. Probably nerfed it due to it being just too powerful. Now, unless you have many cities, its a bit weak since it comes so early in the game. Multiplayer it would still be very good tho.

I will have to check if the new cities are getting the health bonus.

The next time I build SH I will have to check if its 16 from the start.
