I am happy to be able to announce that the Game of the Month series of friendly Civilization III competitions will continue in the new year. As you may know, this is a community effort with games designed by the players themselves. I have already prepared and posted a plan for the upcoming games and Quintillus has been so kind as to volunteer to design the first game this year. Thank you Quintillus! I will continue to design games as well, but would like to take this opportunity to ask you if any of you would consider designing some of the games of the first quarter 2017:

GOTM156 France Emperor 20k to be released on 25 January
COTM129 Persia Emperor to be released on 15 February
GOTM157 Aztecs Monarch Domination to be released on 8 March
COTM130 England Demigod to be released on 29 March

Sure. I didn't want to volunteer for GOTM156, as time was a bit too short till Jan 25th and as I would have loved to play a 20K again myself, but if there's no one else, I can set up that game. But don't expect too many fancy features... I'll just roll a standard game and make a few modifications to make sure it is well-playable as a 20K game and enjoyable for players of all levels. (If anyone else has time and ideas for a "special" game, he/she can take it.)
I can also take GOTM157.
