has anyone tried to add a civ

I you go into the text file where the civ parameters, name and city names are and just add one for yourself to use, will it show up in the window? Do you have to replace one that's there?

You have to replace one that is there. You can change the city names as you want. I would highly recommend making a master copy of the files you plan to change first.

I added the swedes to my game (don't have it still), I think they replaced the sioux, but I had some problems with getting the same flag color as shield color.
You can also add that civ to the cities.txt file, so that your civ gets real names.
