Has the posting traffic at CFC gone down

You guys shld stop discussing what 'punishments' shld be deservingly reserve for whom. I'm being serious here.

Restriction orders are the sole responsibility and at discretion of mods, and not a subject for for a public chat, esp when names are mentioned.

I'll take a look now...

IMO you can have 1 post and not be a newbie.I consider people newbie's when this is the first forum they visit. Then you have them asking question's like "how do i post a thread" etc. They are newbie's because they don't relly understand yet how forum's work ,and what theyre rules are. However you have posters here who have got only for ex. 20 post ,but have possible 5000+ post's on a forum like Apolyton ,and surely you can't call that a newbie.

But on the topic of posts decline ,yes i havn't seen GenhisK for some time. ;)

Even forum veterens can still be newbies as all forums differ slightly and you need to get used to the charactors of a new forum. PLus the rules may differ...

Ok ,but what if you have lurked this forum over a year and know everything about it ,and after that year you decide to post youre first post. Are you still a newbie then? :p

btw. most expierenced forum users know that rules of a forum are about everywhere the same.Of the 20+ forum's i visit no forum allows spamming ,trolling ,racism ,porn etc. ,and no gaming site for ex. allows thread's about game cracks. So while specific rules oe details of rules may differ ,most of the times they are about the same.

In a sence, yes. I've been here for quite some time compared to many people who post a lot here, and I really haven't gotten to know very many in these couple of years. At least not many who are here today. :p

Cilpot... I know the name... PC is not high though... Lazy spammer. :p

Wow, what spamming did I miss? Probably good that I missed it, but now I'm curious...

This is the only forum I visit with rules against this :p (except for racism).

@floppa: Lazy Spammer  Maybe I should use that as a title ;)

Yeah, some places don't mind spam or porn or foul language. Dirty bastards.

The weird thing is that I looked in OT for the first time in ages a couple of days ago and all I could see were pure spam threads. People replying to each other like a chat room, which makes me wonder why these people aren't just chatting online instead. Maybe they prefer to increase their visible postcount, instead of actually communicate ideas (which would preclude a post every 2 minutes). ;)

Intresting, March had the most posts, wonder what happened in March.

That was when the Tournament was up and running as well. I think it was around this time that it started to go loose momentum and IIRC there was a lot of postings and new threads in that forum alone.
Although that by itself wouldn't account for all the more posts it would have added to it.

He's around - in Other Games, Humor and Computers, fr time to time. ;)

There is no way to judge who is a newbie and who isn't.

Post Count has nothing to do with it. There are several posters in OT who seem to post on about a daily basis, have under 1000 posts, and can carry great arguments.

I find OT is about as normal as before. Less "big" names now, but there seems to be a decent number on both sides of debates as before.

General discussion last sunday had 1 person in it at 6 pm--me.

Maybe it was 3 people or 4 people tops, but it was TINY. I think the conquests forum syphoned some, and OT is still pretty major, but civ3 GD is really slow these days. Supereverie helped change that a bit but for the most part I stand sure on what I have obsereved.

I was. :) I lurked a fair bit before posting, but I didn't know the specifics of posting (like how you can't have a bunch of "spaces" in a post, or that you can edit posts). To put it in another way: I knew how to read, but not how to write. ROM. ;)

this is actually pretty weird, because civ3 creation & custumization is having some great months right now.

You sure about that? During the summer wyrm turned out about 800 units in a week :crazyeye:. Now he can't make any units, BeBro is on Vacation, and other Mod makers are working on huge projects. So I'd say it's golden age has passed, for now anyways, should come back around Christmas.
