Have they made it more user friendly yet?

I stopped working on my Romen Empire scenario http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=390666&highlight=kruelgor's+roman+empire because the mod tools were too user-unfriendly and there were too many bugs.

My question is have they done anything dramatic to improve this, or is it a lost cause?

I'm considering returning to work on it, maybe.

I don't know for sure but lots of people still making their modifications without having problems. However I might be wrong because I am not using Lua and Nexus.
