Having dreams about Civ

Ever play Civ so much you start to dream new Civ features? It's happening to me now. Here are a couple of actual Civ dreams.

Sid's Club
The other night I dreamed that the civs could send letters to each other, inviting them to join "Sid's Club." It allowed the members to trade goods & stuff with each other at reduced rates.

Alien Invasion
Last night I dreamed I had completely taken over every single tile on a mega-huge map. There was nothing left to conquer. Then I heard a weird noise. An alien interplanetary craft descended into an open grassland space and then opened out into a new city. Instantly all sorts of improvements and units began multiplying in it, stuff that would take many hundreds of moves and tens of thousands of shields to build in an ordinary game. All appearing during a single move, so rapidly the eye could hardly see them. The aliens had dropped into my map a super city and there was nothing I could do about it. Obviously their tech, resources, and economy were hyper-charged. I thought, So this is what the new patch does. I wasn't sure whether the aliens were invading as hostiles, or building this for me as a gift.

As far as i'm concerned, i always dream about the actual situation of my game, and about the next moves to be done...
Then i wake up, switch the PC on, and make my dream come true...

Sometimes it happens i dream about new wonders, new units, etc... But hey, who doesn't?

I had a dream i took over the world with Modern Armor, adn then was overthrown by a horde of spearmen.

If I don't stop playing at least a half hour before going to sleep, I see little units walking around on a map behind my eyelids and game situations churn in my mind and into my dreams. This is the main reason I don't play at all most weekdays!

If I play civ right before I sleep I think of new stratagies. For example...


"Maybe I can attack Giza and THEN turn north."
"No! Wait! I'll build a harbor in Jesusople and then build a gigaintic navy!"
"Na." "etc."

You hadn't won a conquest OR domination victory? Man. The AI proably made the patch itself!

Oh, yeah, I forgot to mention. My most recent game had been as Germany on a huge map. After winning a cultural victory before I could build Panzers, I went on to build Panzers and MA, and conquer the entire map. I finished the job in the wee hours of the morning then went to sleep and had that dream.

I was thinking, "I've taken over the entire huge map. Now what? There's Alpha Centauri... but what if the space people could come here? Right then, I heard this bizarre whirring sound and the space pod landed. I was sort of expecting it.

I rember a while ago I had a quick civ4 road to war dream. I was playing as Italy and had vassels with to other countries. then i woke up . so I tried to do that but ended up playing historcal mode and kickin france's butt but then i gave up on it

I think someone should prove the USA started at 4000 b.c. before putting that in the game.....there is quite a few unreality threads u would probably enjoy..

ı can't remember dreaming about Civ, which probably means ı am not playing enough but ı think actually saw my 15 strong paratrooper Panzer General unit being mutiliated by a 15 strong Russian paratrooper unit entrenched in a town situated below a lake in a Stalingrad scenario ; it was scary to say the least when it happened .
