Hey,I just got civ 4 and I was able to install it and get the game running just fine. I updated the game then, and right at the end of update instillation I got an error message and everything had to be shutdown. Now apparently directx9 has en error and I can't uninstall directX9 or civ4. I tried to do a clean boot to reinstall directx from the disc but I had no luck with that.
The error message I get says that d3dx9_32.dll is missing. I have no idea how to proceed and so far the only suggestions I've read say I have to reboot my computer or revert to an earlier state, I would rather not do these things. If anyone here has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated, I really want to start playing!
