uy, sword... im done now and ill post in a few minutes, but im sorry its taken so long. i got a concussion and a major injury to my right side of my body and ive been in and out of the hospital and the doctor and ive been pretty much out of comission other than sleeping lol. im better now though so itll be up soon, sorry for the delay

ok sword here it is. it has many of the suggested techs from this thread as well as the ones that were there. the top techs are: fundamentalism, printing press, sep. of powers, democracy, free artistry, i believe. i still dont know how to do the arrows, but well get to that when it comes (which may be now lol) now you have to fill in the new ideas for buildings/wonders that would go with each tech, as well as appropriate tech icons. but anyway, here it is

Well my friend, I've gotten all the icons in, and I've created civilopedia and script entries for all the techs, and I've added Constitutional and Absolute Monarchy, which should both make for interesting additions.

I intend on adding the Leaning Tower, the Monastary improvement. greywolf suggested the Florentine Cathadral and the East India Company as additional wonders, although I don't think anyone has made it yet. Pity Ukas is no longer around.
 
actually i suggested those, but its ok lol. check RaR for them, it should have graphics for em. also, are you including my guerilla line? and are you including my tradable merc. idea? and waht else is in!? OOH I CANT WAIT!

thats the merc. idea, we can develop it more if you want, but i think it should be available in all ages, and have grfx for a hoplite first, then the swiss pikeman, then maybe a musket unit, dont know which one though, and then an infantry type unit... and finally a veritech!!!!!!!!!! :D :D although by then it may be obsolete. but you need high stats, low hp... thats the key to make it last a long time as a buildable unit
 
Jumping in, SoG, what will be the name of your leader for the Khmers? If Pol Pot, please reconsider, it is really a wrong choice, and if a Khmer ever play your mod, he is going to kick you, again, again and again :) What about Jayavarman, there were many kings called after that name, all during the golden age of the Khmers when the impressive building programmes were carried-out (including Angkor Wat). More contemporary, King Sihanouk, who just resigned from the throne, would do fine as he is loved and respectyed by his people.

its one or the other unfortunately, but which would you rather buy in a tight spot...

I have one of the more famaos Javavarman kings as the leader...don't worry Pink, not to mention that there is no Pol Pot leaderhead.. ;)

Aren't they called Cambodians now though? :confused:
 
Ok great. Be sure to take me in when you playtest the beast. The Siamese are still in right? Cambodia, Kampuchea are names used only relatively recently to design the country. Officially I think they are Cambodians, but they still call themselves Khmers, and their language is Khmer. I would use Khmers/Khmer as noun/adjective for the civ.

Hey Coltrane, you are still rumbling with that old idea I see :). Curious to see if you get it to work. Do you think the AI will ever use that?
 
hahaa, ah pink... the AI? hmm, well i would bet theyd leave a unit or 2 in their capitol at some point. weve all bought a worker or 2 from them for some tech at some point, so maybe they will leave mercs in the city instead of workers... again, AI is unpredictable, but we'll see. only playtesting would tell us how that works. (btw pink, yes i am still testing RFRE, i havent defected)

Just to make sure everyone's on the same page here, I think he meant the Military and Scientific Leaders names in the Civilizations tab in the editor for the Khmer civilization, not the actual leader. ;)
 
Oh...well, I couldn't find many Khmer military leadernames so I put Pol Pot as one.... :blush:

Alright...I will try to add this Mercanary system today. But first we need to figure out what graphics to use for each era.

Basically, I was thinking:

Kryten's Mercanary Hoplite: Ancient
Swiss Mercanary: Medival
Industrial/Modern: Maybe one of Civarmy's units?
Future: Maybe one of Muffin's Space Marines...lol
