Hell terrain and the ocean

Yeah, I'd hate to lose the river permanently. If one can sanctify hell terrain back in the first place, then why lose the river? It's plausible either way though.

you could make a costly ritual which changes all the worlds oceans to hellish ocean (using that cool red graphics)...

Well, you already lose flood plains when you sanctify, so I can see them just being gone for good, although I think they are fine as they are.

Not to mention whatever forests were there before, unless you are playing as FoL.

The team could steal the some of the artwork from Planetfall. That looks alien enough to differentiate from regular ocean.
